On Wednesday Nahda Makers organized a football match between the falconry and friendship teams in Al-Maqatra Directorate in Lahj governorate on the Health Awareness Cup in the Directorate.
Sports effectiveness is apart of the Water and Environmental Sanitation Program to support displaced people and conflict-affected communities, implemented by FAO with the support of UNICEF in five districts in Lahj Governorate (Taben - Tar Al-Baha - Ras Al Aara - Al-Qubaita and Al- Mokattara).
The event aimed to draw the community attention about importance to maintain personal and public hygiene, in order to create a society free of epidemics.
At the end of the event, Al- Mokattara Director General Omar Al-Samati focused on the importance of the role by local organizations in cooperation with international donor organizations in the field of health awareness, which aimed to prevent early environmental disasters and to ensure the health of communities.
Al-Samati praised interventions made by the organization of Nahda Makers, calling on all local and international organizations to further interventions in all fields, to achieve a healthy development in Lahj.
