#NMO launched Cleaning campaigns in five districts in Al-Breiqa Directorate of in Aden Governorate, in partnership with #NRC and funded by the#European_Commission .
135 cleaning workers are cleaning several areas of the Directorate, most notably: (Faqam - Al Khaisa - Omran - Ras Omran - Qa'wah) to provide a healthy environment for beneficiaries of the project to improve livelihoods and develop the capacity of coastal communities in southern Yemen.
The campaign, which will last for 45 days, aims at alleviating poverty through cash-for-work for cleaners and waste disposal at and around fish landing sites.
The Director of the Directorate, Mr. Hani Yazidi, said that these campaigns will contribute to the reduction of diseases spread in the coastal areas, hoping to carry out such activities in the Directorate
The Hygiene promotion responsible T.Hamdi Shukra, stressed that the campaigns will not be confined in Aden only, but there are second campaign will be in lahj province in the coming days, in coordination with local authorities.
