With funding from the #European_Union and within “Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY)” project, the United Nations Development Program #UNDP, through #Nahda_Makers Organization, implemented the signing of support agreements (technical and financial) to CSOs to pilot social accountability initiatives on service delivery and revenue management.
19 agreements were signed with 19 civil society organizations in 5 governorates (Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Hadramout, and Marib) within the Local Collaboration package, which was trained on community accountability.
Earlier, the organization worked to train these organizations on community accountability with the aim of implementing granted initiatives in social Accountability. These organizations later worked to prepare proposals for these projects and submit their proposals.
#UNDP worked through #NMO and in cooperation with a group of consultants to select the winning organizations according to what was trained on earlier, whereby allocated funding will be granted to each winning organization to implement and finance their selected projects.
