Launching a workshop on practical practices for auditing public projects and services

Within the project to enhance institutional and economic resilience in Yemen - #SIERY , #UNDP , supported by the #European_Union and with #Nahda_Makers Organization and under the auspices by the Ministry of Local Administration, a training workshop is implementing on practical practices for auditing public projects and services.

This workshop, which targets employees of the Control and Inspection Department, along with the Financial Department and some relevant offices determined by the local authority in the directorate in the governorates of Aden - Taiz - Hadhramout - Lahj - Ma'rib, with 44 participants, will work to strengthen the internal audit process of the targeted entities and enable the directors of the internal audit departments and their employees to identifying the requirements and guidelines necessary for practical application and introducing the professional framework for the internal audit function.

All of this is with the aim of introducing internal auditing and the internal audit procedures manual to all groups related to internal auditing, the leadership of the entities, the director of the internal audit department and its employees, and the environment surrounding internal auditing (other departments and organizations in the unit), creating awareness and understanding of the principles that govern the internal audit department’s relationship with other departments, and providing participants with the knowledge and skills required to plan internal audit work, and the knowledge and skills to choose examination methods, select samples, and evaluate examination results.
